what are the anthems of a 19 year-old ma ma

Clap, clap, clap!  May it be heard by all and the Gods especially, I wish to change my wretched ways.

I left the land of Lincoln.  I also blew farewell kisses to the world's greatest sundial, to my mother and sister, to the reeking place called Pekin, and hopefully to my bad sense as well.

What is a mother to do, that isn't fully grown, still a girl really, one that feels totally secondary to her 10 month-old child?  Well, I'm learning she makes the best of what she has, recalls her past vividly and passionately, but restrains from nostalgic toddler thoughts.  She nurtures and embraces her dreams tightly, as if they may float away when the winds wail.
