i'm expecting a crisp, thought-provoking oration to be heard and witnessed this day 'round the noon hour.
what i'd give to put this day in my memory bank, to deposit memories from Washington, DC. i'd have my down coat to warm my bones, and earmuffs to boot but i'd be sure to perk my ears nonetheless. my ears would first be graced by kenyan sopranos and baratones, thanks to the kenyan choir that journeyed to DC for the inauguration of Barack himself.
i feel as if barack and i have a similar day ahead of us; for i am returning to school today! kent state university, baby. sure, barack may have more paramount a title and duty, but each of us shall shine today. and he may have denzel in his front row and more importantly every face in america clinging to his first and last word; but i feel as if i can share in his joy.
baracks really got our little country wrapped around his finger, i sure hope he wines and dines our poor selves.
